About Us

We are a small, friendly family run business in the North West with over 20 years in the computer industry supporting our customers in and around Ormskirk since 1989. We have successfully grown to a team of 6 staff within the business, Paul, Anna, Alex, Adam, Russell and Tom.

The business was started by myself, Paul Ponting. I have worked in the IT industry since the late 1980’s and have gained extensive knowledge of this fast moving technology from various channels. I have studied in areas such as Radio Transmissions & Technologies, Micro Interfaces, Electronic engineering, Engineering Mathematics, Digital Logic Programming, Programming in languages such as COBOL, C(++), VB & Pascal as well as many scripting languages.

I chose to follow a career in networking after managing a support team responsible for the troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining of computer systems in some 80+ Schools in the St Helens/Merseyside area. I also headed a team which designed and supported one of the first Novell networks in a UK High School. I later moved on to a large organisation in Merseyside starting as a computer support engineer, progressing through the ranks to their Senior Novell Support Engineer for Western Europe offering onsite 3rd line hands on support across Europe. I currently hold the highest level of Novell accreditation (Master Certified Novell Engineer), and am also a Certified Novell Engineer & Certified Novell Administrator in Novell Netware/Intranetware version 3, 4, 5 & 6.x. I also hold accreditation’s in many Microsoft products as well as other less familiar products and subjects including Lotus, Cheyanne, Project Management & DirXML.

As you will see from my extensive history, I have an excellent foundation for establishing a business in this area giving all of our customers peace of mind that we at Danoli Solutions Ltd. really are experienced in our field, and unlike most other companies, we are happy to list our experience to allow you to judge for yourself. We understand that you require a professional and we have the professional skills, experience and qualifications to offer you. Beware of individuals with only an interest or basic level of experience/training to maintain your equipment and always ask for proof of experience and accreditation’s gained.

We like to think our services are totally unique to other businesses and feel complimented the way other local businesses have attempted to adopt or business ideas. We have a virtually 100% happy customer base and we can offer references on request, see our feedback page for true genuine feedback.

Operating from our office in Ormskirk, we cover all areas within an approximate 30 mile radius reaching as far as Warrington, Southport, Skelmersdale, St. Helens and Liverpool and everywhere in between. (We can operate outside this area should you require and have often undertaken weekly onsite support as far afield as Northamptonshire and North Wales)

We understand the need for a friendly engineer with a sympathetic approach to resolve your problems. Our engineers are more than happy to explain any details with you in a language that you understand. We do not rattle off technical jargon in an attempt to impress or bamboozle you. We are experts in our field just as you are in yours.

We insist on 100% satisfaction with ALL our customers and treat you as we would expect to be treated ourselves, no less.

Detectives have released CCTV footage following an arson attack at an address in Ormskirk. Around 12.25am on March 9, a light coloured Vauxhall Astra car pulled up in Grimshaw Lane. A male passenger left the vehicle, ran across a pub car park and approached the driveway of a property in Yew Tree Road. Accelerant was poured over the bonnet of a Volkswagen car and ignited before the male returned to the Vauxhall and made off from the scene. The front of the vehicle was destroyed, with heat from the blaze damaging a Citroen car parked on the driveway. Fire crews attended the scene and the fire was quickly extinguished. The occupants of the property, including two children, were inside the home at the time of the attack. No injuries were reported. Detectives are appealing for information and are particularly keen to speak to anyone who recognises this man, pictured, in connection with their enquiries. Det Sgt Stephen Monk, of Lancashire Police, said: “We have launched an investigation following an arson attack at an address in Ormskirk. “The occupants, including two children, were inside at the time of the fire and have been left extremely upset and shaken up by this incident. “We believe this is an isolated attack and are particularly keen to speak to this individual, pictured. He has a distinctive run and we believe someone may know who it is. “Following enquiries, we believe the vehicle used by the offender is a light coloured Vauxhall Astra registered between 1998 and 2001. If you saw this vehicle, or anyone acting suspiciously in the area around the time of the offence, please contact us.” Anyone with information can contact police on 101 quoting crime reference SB1700895.
